The Army Alliance will hold its Annual Breakfast Meeting on November 14th from 8AM to 10AM at the Richlin Ballroom, Edgewood.  Come hear our panel, led by Lisa Swoboda (MD Dept of Commerce, Director of Military and Federal Affairs), address the Economics of a Defense Community.  Learn just how APG impacts our state and local economies.  Our other panelists include Kenyata Wesley, Executive Director, Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen; Christopher Moyer, Director of Economic Development, Cecil County; Karen Holt, Federal Installation Administrator, Harford County Office of Community and Economic Development; and Patrick Mullin, Executive Committee, Industrial Representatives Association.  CLICK HERE to purchase tickets by November 6.


The Gold Star Mother's & Family's Day will be held October 6, 2019 at 11AM at Top of the Bay, APG.  Please join APG Senior Commander Major General Mitch Kilgo; senior Army leaders; civic partners; and the Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania regional Gold Star community for a celebration of the lives, service, and dedication of the fallen members of our armed services and their families.  An annual tradition at Top of the Bay, APG, the event will also include an outdoor dedication ceremony for a new pavilion at the APG Gold Star Plaza and Living Legacy Forest and brunch.  CLICK HERE to purchase tickets.

Join Northeastern Maryland Technology Council (NMTC) as they launch their new series of programs, the NMTC’s TechKey Café. On October 10th from 7:30 to 9:00AM at Battelle, 1204 Technology Drive, Aberdeen, Lisa Chang, Data Scientist and Software Engineer, Praxis Engineering will present "OK Google, Tell Me About Myself.” Even if you never used it, Google can record your life, determine where you live, work, shop, and go on vacation.  Lisa presents an analysis using her personal dataset and will provide a link to her code that you can use to do the same analysis on your own dataCLICK HERE to register.

The 9th Annual SCRA / AFCEA Halloween Golf Tournament is coming soon!  This year’s event will take place at Ruggles Golf Course on Thursday, October 31, 2019. The event includes a four-person scramble tournament, 50/50 raffle, mulligan cards, BBQ dinner, and awards ceremony after the tournament. SCRA / AFCEA will provide custom “putters” at each hole.
