ARMY ALLIANCE ANNUAL DINNER - JUNE 3


The Army Alliance Annual Dinner will be held June 3, 2019, from 5:30 to 8:30PM at Water's Edge Events Center, 4687 Millennium Drive, Belcamp, MD, 21017.  We are pleased to announce that our speaker will be Maryland's LT Governor Boyd K. The Army Contracting Command- Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC- APG) Source Selection Support Center of Excellence (S3CoE) will host its FY 19 Q~3 symposium entitled Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) on April 10, 2019, from 9-12:00 pm at Mallette Hall Auditorium, 6008 Jayhawk Drive, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005.  The RSVP date to attend is April 5, 2019; RSVP by emailing: usarmy.apg.acc.mbx.acc-apg-s3coe@mail.mil.  The symposium slides, questions, answers and summary will be posted on FedBizOpps after the symposium for personnel unable to attend.

AFCEA Aberdeen will hold its April luncheon on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, from 1130 to 1300, at Water’s Edge Event Center in Belcamp. Our featured guest speaker is Mr. Wayne Schoonveld, Chief, Systems Engineering, Architecture, Modeling and Simulation (SEAMS) Division, Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate (S&TCD). The Chesapeake Chapter of Sigma Xi – the Scientific Research Honor Society is holding its monthly meeting on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 1200 to 1300 at the Exton golf course clubhouse, Bldg. E1260, on APG South.  We invite interested APG-area scientists and engineers to attend. The Northern Chesapeake West Point Society (NCWPS) is hosting our first #GRADTALK event focused on financial planning on April 24, 2019 at 11:30 AM at Top of the Bay, 30 Plum Point Loop, APG. This session will include professional financial planners who will provide presentations and take questions from participants. The APG Discovery Week Advanced Planning Briefing for Industry (APBI) will be held April 30, to May 2, 2019.  The APBI will describe potential future contracting opportunities for mission areas that focus on: command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; research and development; test and evaluation; chemical and biological defense; and APG Garrison.  All interested parties must register to attend using this linked website.

The CCDC Chemical Biological Center is hosting its Gas Mask Dash on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at CAPA Field, Edgewood Area of APG.  This 5K race/ 2-mile fun walk is open to the publicSign up online by April 30, 2019 to be guaranteed a shirt.  Entry fees are $20 until April 30th at 6pm, and $25 thereafter (to include race day).  Questions, please contact Linda Flint at Linda.Flint.civ@mail.mil.  The event will be held rain or shine, and entry fees are non-refundable.
