Cybersecurity Awards Nomination Deadline:  Friday, January 19

Nominate yourself or another individual, company, or organization for one of the prestigious Maryland Cybersecurity Awards.  There are awards for cybersecurity companies as well as entities and individuals supporting Maryland's cybersecurity industry.  The nomination process is quick and easy, and there is no cost. Multiple nominations are encouraged.  Winners will be announced March 21 at the MD Cybersecurity Awards Celebration. Nominate below.

Tactical Network Industry Day at APG

The U.S. Army will hold a Tactical Network Industry Day on February 6-7, 2018 at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. The goal of the event is to assist industry partners in identifying and aligning their efforts with Army tactical network modernization priorities specific to enabling Army units to operate resilient network assets in contested and congested environments. This event is meant for a technical audience to include systems engineers, architecture experts and integrators.  The first day will be spent outlining, in detail, the current network architecture and technical challenge areas. The second day will highlight Cross Functional Team focus areas relevant to tactical network challenge areas.  Forum registration will close on 29 JAN 2018.  Click to access more information and registration instructions.

The Association of Old Crows (AOC) APG Susquehanna Chapter Professional Development Luncheon will be held January 28, 2018, 1130-1330 at Maryland Golf and Country Club, 1335 E Macphail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21015.  A presentation will be provided by LTC Marc Dorrer, US Army Product Manager Electronic Warfare Integration.  Cost is $25 for AOC members and $35 for non-AOC members.  Register Here.

Maj. Gen. David G. Bassett has been announced as the new Program Executive Officer, Command, Control and Communication (Tactical).  He replaces outgoing PEO C3T Gary Martin, who retires Jan. 31 after more than 30 years working for the Army.  A change of charter ceremony will take place January 30, 2018.

The Susquehanna Chapter, MOAA Professional Development Luncheon will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at Water's Edge Events Center, 4687 Millennium Drive, Belcamp, MD 21017.   The speaker is Ms. Rosemary Williams and she will address “Taking Advantage of Opportunities”.  Rosemary Williams is a leader in collective impact for military families, Veterans, caregivers, and survivors.  She serves on the Board of Directors for the Military Family Advisory Network, and the National Association of Veteran-Serving Organizations.  Registration and more information, Click Here.
