You are invited to the Aberdeen Proving Ground Centennial Gala on October 20, 2017, APG's actual 100th birthday. Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime evening of music, dancing, fine wines, and entertainment, in a beautiful cabaret setting at 650 McHenry Road, Aberdeen, MD 21001. The party starts at 7 p.m. and goes to 11 p.m. Stay for the Fireworks and the After Party at the Speakeasy from 11-1 a.m.  Tickets are available at apg100.org/gala.  

The NBC Industry Group invites you to attend a day-long training event on Other Transaction Authority led by Joanne Abbott JD Esq, an attorney experienced in defense acquisition, technology commercialization and federal contracting.  JPEO Chemical and Biological Defense representatives will be speaking during lunch.  The event will be held on October 19, 2017 at 9:00am - 4:30pm at Richlin Catering & Event Center, 1700 Van Bibber Rd, Edgewood, MD 21040, USA.  $25 for Members of NBC Industry Group. $75 for Non-Members.   Click here to register 

An APG Centennial Tour will be held for APG Retirees on October 20, 2017.  Explore APG's support to the warfighter through an historical bus tour of APG - Aberdeen Area. This tour opportunity will highlight the 100-year history of APG, from the first shot fired to the state-of-the-art buildings of today. Visit the installation to see how it has changed over the years and share your APG story!  Retirees can bring one guest over the age of 18 (US Citizen only) and cannot bring cameras or any personal electronic devices.  Two tour slots are offered, 8:30AM to 10:00AM and 10:30 to Noon.  Click here to register.   

MILCOM 2017.  At MILCOM, global military communications professionals face command, control, communications, computing, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) challenges head on.  Join military and industry communications professionals in this evolving conversation October 23-25 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Maryland. MILCOM features outstanding technical presentations, discussions and tutorials, as well as a nearly 30,000 square foot exhibit hall. Signal Corps Regimental Association (SCRA)
will hold their 7th Annual SCRA / AFCEA Halloween Golf Tournament on October 27, 2017.  Join them for a fun day of golf at Ruggles Golf Course at APG, just outside of the MD-715 gate.  The event will include a 4-person scramble, 50/50 raffle, mulligan cards, BBQ dinner & awards following the golf.  Shotgun start is 10:00AM, please arrive NLT 09:30AM.   What to bring?  Three golf clubs (choose wisely); they will supply "custom" putters on each hole.  Wear a clever costume -- it's even better if you have a team theme!  Awards for the most creative costumes will be given during the BBQ.  Register Here.

The Maryland Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Festival will be hosting the 1st Annual Blue Collar STEM Conference at the B & O Railroad Museum in Baltimore on November 6th, 2017.   The Conference will focus on jobs and careers that don’t require a four-year college degree, but do required extensive knowledge of STEM.  There is a great need for workers, education/ training and awareness for these positions. There will be speakers and representatives from Industry, Labor, Government, Education and the Military to address this topic.  MG Wins, RDECOM is one of the keynote speakers.   For more info and to register, Click Here.  

Harford County Chamber of Commerce’s Military Affairs committee will host the Annual Spirit of Thanks Tour, an interactive soldier-oriented excursion on November 9, 2017.  This one-day activity of education, remembrance and camaraderie will include round-trip motor coach transportation to NYC to visit our nation’s 9/11 Memorial & Museum.  Business sponsors are needed and the sponsorship will include the opportunity to participate in the event.  Individuals can participate by purchasing a ticket for the event.  Hurry!  Limited space is available.  Click for More Info
